形態特徵

• Perennial herbs, glabrous, to 30 cm tall; stems erect, square.
• Leaves sessile or lower ones with petioles to 0.5 cm long; blades narrowly ovate to ovate, 1–3 cm long, 0.5–1 cm wide, base obtuse to truncate, apex acute to obtuse, margins distantly serrate on lower leaves, entire on upper ones, glabrous, both surfaces covered with glandular dots, veinlets 2 or 3 pairs.
• Flowers axillary, with foliaceous bracts, opposite, forming a raceme; calyx tubular, bilobed, minutely hairy; corolla pinkish-purple, tubular, 9–13 mm long, bilabiate, covered with glandular hairs, upper lip very broadly ovate, emarginate at apex, lower lip broadly ovate, 3-lobed, central lobe emarginate at apex; stamens 4, didynamous. Pollen grains 3-colpate, prolate, isopolar, 20–24×12–16 μm, tectum reticulate with microperforae.
• Nutlets orbicular, 1.1 mm long, 0.8 mm wide, nutlet coat with umbrella-like elevated tubercles; hilum lateral.
• Chromosome number 2n = 26.

Flowering time from October to the following April.

分布

• 台灣 : mainly in the north, rarely in the south.
• 世界 : In mainland China and the Himalayas.
